A Whole new World Part 1

Posted by JulesOfEarth - February 14th, 2022

In the beginning the day was like any other day,

I woke up & checked discord, texted some friends & liked some art on Twitter.

However after getting dressed I heard a strange noise in the bathroom,

I ran into the room as quickly as I could & saw an odd sight.

The sky outside was not that of the typical view of the backyard I've grown accustomed to in my years living in the duplex,

no the sky was lavender & the ground was a series of grassy hills.

Tempted by my curiosity I opened the window to stick my left arm out,

as I did so I look in amazement as when my forearm crossed the boundary

between the inside of the house to this strange new world it took on a new form.

My left forearm went from being that of an average human arm to a claw-like viscous fluid,

I quickly pulled my arm back in & see it return to normal.

I quickly open the window farther curiously seeing if I could get a better view,

this grave mistake was my undoing…

As I pull myself to get my head out the window I failed to consider that sticking half of my body out of the window would shift my center of gravity towards the outside,

with one swift motion I had fallen,

landing on the ground with a splat.

I quickly come to as I try in vain to look for the window I had fallen from,

only to cause me to panic as the house was no longer where it should've been,

in its place a stone wall…

I start to walk around to possibly find some way of returning home,

someway to have things go back to normal,

as I do I take a look at my new hands.

I should've been mortified of my transformation,

yet… It brought an odd sense of comfort

my body was no longer human,

it was now made of a teal slime.

I became entranced with my new body & what it was capable of doing,

I continue to walk this time towards what seemed like a small settlement…

To be Continued...
